Post Incident Debriefing Research suggests that "victims" of attack often experience the reaction of colleagues and their employing agency as the most distressing aspect. De briefing programmes are aimed at equipping services with the skills and procedures required to ensure that staff are effectively supported after an incident and that services are able to constructively review and improve their incident management procedures.
